Slice of Life

This photo was taken in November 2011.

Here's the story : On a Friday night, I was walking home after a busy day. I had been to school, then to a primary school where I was to work (I used to study primary education), then shopping (I needed to buy new cartridges for my printer). At some point, I realized that the contents of my backpack kept a trace of every place I had been to during the day. I asked myself "If I lost my backpack and someone found it, would that person be able to piece together the course of my day, from the contents of my backpack ?". And I thought "One day of my life is packed in there". I didn't empty my backpack until the next day, and then, I arranged all its contents on the floor of my room and took a picture.

I may take more pictures of that kind, on other very busy (or even ordinary) days.

Just so you know, I edited the picture a bit in GIMP. I blurred my name and personal information on the items that had it (letter, luggage label...), for privacy reasons.

If you're wondering what something is or why something is there, you may ask.

EDIT (March 3rd, 2012): The "No Derivative Works" restriction only applies to whatever can be done with the picture itself. You can still reuse the concept - after all, it has probably been done before. ^^
